Casa Rosada Artisan Gelato is a family owned and operated gelateria located at 111 South Payne Street, a half block from King Street. Founded by Argentine immigrants, Casa Rosada brings world-class gelato and sorbets to Old Town Alexandria. Ben, a chemical engineer by trade, and his wife Raquel, have been preparing gelato since 2004, culminating in the opening of the gelateria in June 2014 with the help of their two sons, Mark and David.
We take pride in the transparency of our production process. Our desserts are handcrafted with no artificial ingredients or colors. Our gelato and sorbets are produced on-site with visible viewing from inside and outside the store and are made fresh. Careful measures are taken to prevent cross contamination for those with dairy, peanut, tree nut, and egg allergies to ensure that everyone can still enjoy our desserts.
Casa Rosada, directly translated from Spanish, means “Pink House” - inspired by the executive mansion in Argentina, La Casa Rosada, the office of the President of Argentina. Our store, on 111 South Payne Street, is the only pink-colored house on the block.
We are located at 111 South Payne Street, Alexandria, VA 22314. For questions or inquiries, call us at (703) 349-1001 or email firstname.lastname@example.org. Casa Rosada is a 10 minute walk from King St. Metro Station. Street parking available. For parking information click here.
